April 21, 2010 – On April 18, 2010, members of the State Security arrested Azad Ebdilrezaq Welî (b. 1985) in his apartment in Aleppo. Welî is a computer science student and head of the student branch of the Kurdish Freedom Party in Syria (Azadî) at the University of Aleppo. Thus far nothing is known about the reason for his arrest.
