January 21, 2010 – On January 19, 2010, the single military judge in al‑Qamishli released Bahcad Elî Ibrahîm from custody. Ibrahîm was arrested on October 20, 2009 in ʿAmudah. An official of the Kurdish Democratic Union Party in Syria (Democratic Yekîtî), he is accused of membership of an illegal political organization. His next hearing is scheduled for March 19, 2010.
