KURDWATCH, December 13, 2010—On December 8, 2010, the governor of al-Hasakah transferred Bahzad Khalil Muhammad (b. 1964, married, three children) from the public hospital in al-Malikiyah (Dêrik) to the public hospital in al-Hasakah. Al-Hasakah is approximately 200 kilometers away from Muhammad's residence in al-Malikiyah. Several intelligence services instigated the transfer after a Baʿth party functionary compiled a negative report about Bahzad Khalil Muhammad. Bahzad Khalil Muhammad has worked in public service for 26 years.
